Clean technologies are those that seek to create economic value by reducing the waste of energy, materials and generation of toxics. “Cleantech” can span a range of industry sectors, including energy, industrial efficiency, water and wastewater and transportation. SJF typically invests $500,000 to $2 MM with follow-on investments of up to $1 MM. SJF often co-invests with other venture capital firms in rounds of $1 to $5 MM.
