Meritus Ventures Announces First Arkansas Investment

CDVCA member fund Meritus Ventures today announced its first Arkansas investment with the closing of an investment in Arkansas Automatic Sprinklers, Inc. (AASI) of Cabot, Arkansas. AASI is a fire protection sprinkler company founded in that designs, manufactures, installs, maintains, and inspects fire protection installations. Meritus Ventures co-invested in the deal with Diamond State Ventures; Kansas Venture Capital; and Midstates Capital. Meritus Ventures, L.P. is a $36.5 million community development venture capital fund investing in rural areas of central and southern Appalachia and Arkansas. Read the press release.
