CDVCA is the premier source of high quality data and information about the community development venture capital industry. CDVCA provides information that is useful to:
- CDVCA practitioners
- Investors and funders
- Policy makers
- Other stakeholders
The CDVCA research program gathers data and publishes information on the CDVC industry, including and annual statistical report and other periodic reports. CDVCA gathers deal specific data through its ongoing research program and fund level data through its participation in the CDFI Data Project (CDP). The CDP is a consortium of trade associations and others in the broader field of community development finance who work to collect, analyze, and publish data on the entire CDFI industry. CDVCA also works with other organization involved in the broader field of double bottom line venture capital including Investors' Circle and the Research Initiative on Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) at Columbia University, as well as organizations involved in traditional VC such as the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA).
